What’s Next

May 29th, 2008 by Connie | Filed under Hearth and Home, Ruminations on Life and Stuff.

For my loyal readers (both of you-heads up!) here’s one of those dumb goodnewsbadnews thingies…

  • There *will* be future additions to this site.
  • They probably won’t have much to do about real estate.

A recent conversation went something like this:

“Yo dudette– you could totally keep blogging and stuff~”

“Look shrimp, I’m out of real estate stuff to write about. Everything’s going well, nothing new to report, stuff is slow and I’m burned out trying to find something to report everyday– so bug off.”

“Your Royal Oldness is, like, cranky-n-stuff due (do doubt) to lack of essential hormones. Write about other junk (duh!) like mini-pause and growing veggies and wrinkle cream and orthopedic feet-wear. You’ve already paid for virtual space. Besides, when you write you don’t blab so stinkin’ much.”

The Part Where I Smack the Kid

So here’s the dish:

1) The shrimp is correct. Certain people around here need an outlet.

2) I don’t expect either of you to hang around and read about bunions

3) All the real estate stuff will be left as is (for now) but certain people have no intention of adding much. Our new path to Real Estate Riches is just too slow and/or boring.

4) There’s a new serger on-its-way as I type so prognosticators in-the-know suspect future posts will feature pictures of cloth-like objects which may or may not be wearable.

5) No more pictures of the kids as I’ve developed Dale Gribble Paranoia Syndrome. (More virtual space for JoJo… and the crowd goes wild!)

6) New categories will include: Sewing, Homeschooling, Life After Homeschooling for a Bajillion Years, Financial Literacy, Home Business Stuff, Self-Sufficiency,  Gardening, Chickening, Aging, Chronic Pain Without Self Medicating, Writing, Writing About Writing, And Such.

So this  is the official “Take Me Off Your Feed Pronto If You Haven’t Already” post for all my REI friends who’ve been so kind and supportive over the last few months. This blog is about to suffer some severe navel-gazing, lint picking.

Any real estate stuff will be short, shallow and infrequent :)

Lovely spot where serger will reside.

80% of the blogs I read have nothing to do with real estate.

If you don’t mind, this is one REI friend who’d like to keep you on his reader list.

I’m always curious as to what can crawl out of a fiendishly clever mind.

How dare you come back and not alert me. I just so happened to stop by here today ..just to see.
    Glad I did.
Welcome back - I’ve missed you. and am now so glad that you are going to blog (maybe ..sometimes) about Homeschooling.

who also has a rather quiet blog these days. ; )

    Clifford– Thanks dude :)

I thought you’d quit blogging, then realized that my reader had the new *name* of your blog but pointed to the wrong address :-P

    Hey Maria–

Sorry about that~ I did intend to email, but have enjoyed my trip to the fortress of solitude more than expected :)

As you can see, I haven’t actually gotten anything written yet. I do, however, have boxes of sewing junk pulled out, a dress form to be molded to my will– er, shape– and two upcoming vacancies. So, there’s plenty to write about and simply no excuse for my continued stalling manuevers.

Hey girl - we’re ready to crash at the new digs any time…so get ready!! Glad you will continue to share from your wellspring of wit and wisdom…or at least some JoJo stuff…from time to time. You know we love you and would come here to watch paint dry…

Sew, sew, sew…can’t wait to see the creations…maybe I’ll have to buy some stuff from you for the shop…

Talk to you soon, my multi-talented friend…love you bunches!

    Hugs,
    Beck

    Connie-
I was just checking in (as I do occasionally) to see if anything is new.
Hope you are enjoying your summer.
