Dog vs. Investor (and you thought they only had postmen for lunch…)
December 2nd, 2007 by Connie | Filed under Very Silly Indeed. When we started looking for investment properties, most of the homes were either FSBO or listed with an agent for the usual reasons. Over the last year or so, that’s drastically changed. Now, most of the homes are foreclosures. I’ve always found little hand prints and names in concrete charming, but something about seeing them at sad little rundown/abandoned houses is starting the get to me.

At the first house yesterday I saw this– 4 sets of children’s prints, Jacob, Alan, Jenny, and Holly and the date-1999. Someone had tried (unsuccessfully) to fill in one of the handprints which somehow lent the image a macabre quality. Standing there remembering my own 4 back at that age… well, there’s just something poignant about the lost dreams represented in that driveway.
I guess I got a little preoccupied taking pictures (as if a few digital images online somewhere would make it all better)…. when I looked down to see—

Gruesome
Technically, I felt Gruesome sniffing my britches before I saw him… probably checking out the scent of 3 dogs, 4 cats, and 3 cows from back home.
Now, I do not think sneaky dogs are funny– especially as most aren’ t this little and cute…. but I dunno… he’s *kinda* cute for a ferret…and I was starting to like him just a little…

Until he decides to bite my sandals-

Evidence of Gruesome’s true intentions.
